Partner, Draper Fisher Jurvetson
Josh is a Partner of Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ), where he served his Kauffman Fellowship (Class 9) and has worked since 2004. Some of his board responsibilities include Box, LendKey, Periscope, and SugarCRM. He is also actively involved with the firm’s investments in AngelList, Redfin, and Twilio, among others. His previous investments include Eventful, GoodGuide, iList, Polaris Wireless, and Yammer.
Prior to DFJ, Josh was a VP at Telephia, managing a group providing strategic analysis and information to the nation’s largest wireless carrier. Previously, Josh was a co-founder, director, and the chief strategy officer for ViaFone, a DFJ portfolio company providing wireless enterprise applications. Josh had earlier positions in product management at Microsoft and NetObjects, and in management consulting at The Boston Consulting Group.
Josh was named to the Forbes Midas List from 2013–2015, selected by AlwaysOn as a “Power Player” in 3 separate categories, and selected by Deloitte as Venture Capitalist of the Year in 2015.
Josh holds an AB from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Stanford. He currently serves on the board of trustees of the Crystal Springs Uplands School and the Stanford GSB Trust. Josh is a member of Kauffman Fellows Class 9, served as a mentor to Josh Raffaelli (Class 13), and is an emeritus member of the Kauffman Fellows board of directors.
