Kauffman Fellows - Center for Venture Education

Affiliate Applications

Applications for affiliate candidates for Class 15 are now open.

Who should apply through the affiliate process? Applicants who are currently investment professionals employed in the venture capital industry for less than 5 years may use the affiliate selection process.

The venture firm with which the applicant is affiliated must agree to sponsor the fellow and provide a senior mentor who is committed to the learning objectives of the program.

Affiliate Application Review and Interviews

As with finalist applicants, affiliate candidates go through a rigorous selection process to determine those that will be included in the fellows class. Each application is reviewed by a team of two to four people; followed by individual interviews with each candidate.

Mentors for the affiliate applicants are also interviewed in order to assess their perspective on the candidate, the firm, and the mentoring process.

Fellows Selected

Classes are limited to 25-30 fellows. The Center for Venture Education makes the final acceptance decision on fellowships. Each class will be selected to create the optimum learning community, with diversity in: education, experience, and industry background, as well as size, type, and geography of firms.
