Peter Ackerson

Peter is passionate about the commercialization of frontier technologies and the disruption of legacy markets and business models. His professional experience has also included co-founding several technology companies.

Peter holds an MBA from the University of Virginia, where he was elected to the Raven Society, and a BBA in Finance from the College of William & Mary.

Peter Ackerson is a General Partner at Fin Venture Capital and is responsible for all aspects of the firm including raising investment capital, developing investment thesis and sourcing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and structuring investments, and serving on boards and partnering with entrepreneurs and companies. At Fin VC, Peter sits on the boards of Maxwell Financial Labs and SamCart and is a board observer at Teampay.

Prior to FinVC, he was CFO and Investment Partner at SymphonyAI, a $1 billion early-stage investment and incubation platform, where he held investing, operating, and board member roles in several AI technology companies across the Finance, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Media verticals. Peter has also worked with McKinsey & Co’s early- and mid-stage SaaS practice, at Wells Fargo’s Technology Equity Research group (including working on the Facebook, Workday, ServiceNow, and Marin Software IPOs), and at Merrill Lynch in their investment banking division.

Peter is a member of Class 26 serving at Fin Venture Capital.
