Founding General Partner, Emergence Capital
Jason Green is a member of Kauffman Fellows Class 1 and served his fellowship under mentor Ted McCourtney at Venrock Associates in New York, NY. Jason is a Founding General Partner of Emergence Capital, an early stage venture firm focused on technology-enabled services and infrastructure.Prior to founding Emergence, Jason was a General Partner with U.S. Venture Partners.
Jason has led investments in such companies as Visual Networks (VNWK), Salesforce.com (CRM), DoubleClick (DCLK), aQuantive (AQNT), Ask Jeeves (ASK), Megapath Networks and Nightfire Software/Neustar.
Earlier in his career, Jason served as VP of Muzertechnika, the largest private computer and Telecommunications Company in Eastern Europe, served as a consultant with Bain & Company in Boston and San Francisco, and worked at the investment firm of Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe in New York.
Jason graduated cum laude with a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College and a MBA from Harvard, where he graduated with Distinction. Jason was awarded the Charles Williams Fellowship at Harvard’s Graduate School of Business for post-graduate research in Entrepreneurship and Finance.
Jason is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of the Center for Venture Education and is a founding board member of Endeavor, a non-profit organization serving the needs of entrepreneurs in emerging markets. Jason also serves on the Advisory Board for the Arthur Rock Center for Entrepreneurship and the Steering Committee for the West Coast Research Center at Harvard Business School.
