Fellows Investing in Fellows
Ali Erfan‘s (Class 10) Draper Oakwood Technology Acquisition (DOTA) seeks Fellows with established tech companies in the US who are looking for a $50-100M equity cheque to fund growth. Ali co-founded DOTA as a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) listed on Nasdaq. The firm targets established tech companies with predictable or repeat revenues. Palleon Pharmaceuticals, co-founded by Jim Broderick (Class 4) has completed its Series A financing round, oversubscribed at $47.6M and including funds from SR One (Jens Eckstein, President, Class 10). Palleon is developing a new class of cancer-fighting medicines designed to inhibit glycoimmune checkpoints, a mechanism that enables cancer cells to masquerade as normal cells. Jens cites “having the KF past in common” as a key component in the deal coming together. [Press release]
Kredivo, founded by Akshay Garg (Class 18), just announced an undisclosed Series A funding round, co-led by Jungle Ventures (Amit Anand, co-founder and Managing Partner, Class 18).
