Puerto Rico update: The KF network has numerous Fellows who hail from Puerto Rico. Most have reported in that they and their families are OK. However, the devastation is extensive, particularly in rural areas. For those wishing to make donations in the relief and rebuilding effort, Ramphis Castro (Class 19) recommends Los Ambulantes for a list of trusted organizations that is updated frequently to reflect the current needs on the island; Marcos Polanco (Class 19) recommends the organization United for Puerto Rico, organized by the island’s First Lady in collaboration with the private sector; Miriam Rivera (Class 15) recommends UNICEF, Save the Children, and One America Appeal, an initiative launched by all five living former American Presidents.
In addition, TENx now has a disaster relief page with information about the events in Puerto Rico, Texas, and Mexico, and ways to help.
Log into TENx for complete details and RSVP information for all KF events, unless noted.
