Jessie Slocum is passionate about building a better tomorrow by bringing people together through a journey of meaningful lifelong learning. As VP of Program and Network, she oversees the Kauffman Fellows Program and the Fellows’ subsequent transition into the network post-graduation. In this role, she leverages her background as an educator and instructional coach to develop a cutting-edge curriculum full of impactful learning experiences. She's responsible for the overall strategy, design, delivery, and evaluation of the curriculum and Fellows' experience, recruitment and engagement of speakers and faculty, event management and logistics, and the development of additional educational product offerings. Jessie also leads the Kauffman Fellows Curriculum Advisory Board, whose members include subject matter experts in investing acumen and behavioral fitness.
Jessie has spent her career in education teaching, coaching, and developing curriculum in the adult education and K-12 spaces. Prior to joining Kauffman Fellows, Jessie managed a team of educators at General Assembly, where she created the onboarding and professional development program for their global instructional community. She previously taught elementary special education and ran her own tutoring business in the Northern Virginia area.
Jessie holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia. Outside of Kauffman Fellows, you can find her joyfully exploring National Parks, sharing her favorite podcast recommendations, or hosting dinner parties with a twist in her San Francisco home.
