Zaki Djemal

A Harvard graduate in Behavioral Economics, Zaki was listed among the Forbes 30 Under 30 emerging tech business leaders in 2018. He is a proud member of the Schusterman Foundation ROI and REALITY communities and serves on the boards of the Israel Harvard Club, Tevel b'Tzedek, and Kulna Yerushalayim.

Zaki Djemal is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Fresh Fund, a first check VC investing in Israeli companies across segments and verticals. As Israel's largest and most active dedicated pre-seed fund, Fresh Fund enjoys unique access to day-zero companies, backing dozens of startups since 2019. Fresh Fund has $70M in assets under management and is currently investing out of its second $35MM fund. Past experiences include starting an e-commerce platform for independent fashion brands in Brazil, leading relief delegations to South Sudan, Japan and Haiti on behalf of IsraAID, and speaking on the TEDx stage to an audience of thousands about the power of games and play to bridge divides and bring people together. In the military, Zaki served as a journalist in the Israeli Army radio station, where he edited Israel’s most popular daily morning news show and worked as a field reporter.
