Diana Maichin

DMEM & Co.

For the past five years, Diana has been an independent advisor, operator, and consultant and launched her firm, DMEM & CO, helping early stage healthcare entrepreneurs and CEOs elevate their companies by tackling different business operations activities. Representative projects include: Interim COO/CFO to mRNA Company focused on monitoring disease state longitudinally, Entrepreneur-in-Residence to Venture Firm with a focus on operationalizing company creation, Interim COO/CFO to Company focused on early cancer detection, and FinOps consultant to Series A stage Company focused on HR recruiting.

Previously, Diana was a Director on the GE Ventures, New Business Creation team, where she worked with entrepreneurs to develop and invest in companies at the intersection of healthcare analytics, precision medicine, software, and diagnostics. Since the New Business Creations inception in 2013, she was involved in the formation of three healthcare NewCos: Evidation Health, Drawbridge Health, and Vineti. Diana also drove thesis development, new company creation as a practice area, and forged new processes across GE.

Prior to GE Ventures, she was a product manager at Codexis, a developer of biocatalysts for pharmaceutical and chemical production, and an Analyst at Financial Technology Partners, a boutique investment bank in San Francisco, where she covered the healthcare IT sector. Diana started her career at Genentech, where she held product and operational-focused roles in supply chain, manufacturing, external quality, and finance. She worked on a risk assessment for the largest biotechnology manufacturing site in the world and identified opportunities to increase royalty income for a $2B global business.

Diana holds a BS in Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Masters coursework in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is also a member of the 19th class of Kauffman Fellows.

Education, Personal, and Fellowship

Diana is a black-diamond snowboarder and loves traveling to taste the coffee, wine, and cheese of the world with her life explorer, Julian.

Diana served her fellowship at GE Ventures as a member of Class 21, under the mentorship of Risa Stack (Class 2), General Manager of GE Ventures, Incubations.
