Alana earned her B.A. with Honors in Science, Technology, and Society from 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱, an M.A. in Philosophical and Systematic Theology from 𝗚𝗧𝗨 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘆, and a Doctorate in Ministry with a focus on technology and faith from 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆, where she also trained as a spiritual director.

Dr. Alana Ackerson is a technology entrepreneur, venture investor, and author of the new release 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨: 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙞𝙨 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨.

She co-founded 𝗙𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲 (𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗤: 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗥), a multi-billion-dollar public FinTech company, and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻, the leading public Layer 1 for real-world assets. She later built 𝗛𝗤 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹, a next-generation investment platform and multi-family office under Digital Currency Group, where she partnered with the world’s top digital assets, blockchain, and DeFi entrepreneurs and investors. Most recently, she was an Investment Partner with 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, the state’s strategic venture arm.

Earlier in her career, Alana served as CEO of the 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, where she launched and scaled programs that redefined how entrepreneurial talent is discovered and funded. She oversaw the 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, backing young founders with $100K grants to pursue breakthrough ventures outside academia, and 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝘀, which financed radical, high-risk scientific innovation beyond the reach of conventional VC.

A recognized thought leader, she is a Member of the 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, where she contributed to the Independent Task Force on U.S. Innovation Strategy and National Security and spoke at the Council’s National Conference on “The Future of FinTech.” She also serves on global nonprofit boards, including Opportunity International and SFTS, and is a YPO Member.
