Anurag Begwani

Anurag holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Gujarat University and is a Chartered Accountant. Outside work, he reads, travels, walks Bangalore's parks, and plays cricket and basketball.

Anurag Begwani is an investor at Bessemer Venture Partners in India, investing from seed through Series C. His investments span fintech, consumer, healthcare, software marketplaces, and enterprise AI. What connects them is less the sector and more the pattern: a consumer behaviour changing, regulation opening up around it, and a team building the right software or platform on top. He serves on the board of Zopper and as a board observer at Vetic, Seekho, TransBnk, MoveInSync, and Inrisk.

Before Bessemer, he was on the investment team at Temasek, working on growth and late-stage deals across consumer internet, healthcare, and financial services in India. His work there spanned public financial services names as well as companies including Zomato, Dr. Agarwal's Eye Hospital, Curefit, and Sharechat. Before Temasek, he invested at Lighthouse Funds. He began his career in investment banking at Edelweiss Financial Services and Alvarez & Marsal.
