Ashtan Jordan

Ashtan is a proud third-generation graduate of Howard University and an alum of Stanford Graduate School of Business. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she  splits her time between San Francisco and Los Angeles. In her free time, she enjoys meditation, working out, watching documentaries, record collecting, and drawing inspiration from art and design.

Ashtan is a Principal at Precursor Ventures, a classic pre-seed and seed-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco. She leads investments across B2B software, healthcare, and consumer technology, with a focus on backing exceptional founders at the earliest stages. 

​

Prior to joining Precursor, Ashtan was the Founder and Managing Partner of The MVX Group, a product management staffing agency supporting legacy businesses undergoing digital transformation. She was also on the founding team of SAMPLEit, a beauty discovery platform that was later acquired by a private equity firm. Ashtan began her career as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup.
