
Beau Seil
Beau attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a joint law degree and Master of Business Administration (JD/MBA), as well as a Bachelor of Science in psychology. As an undergraduate he was an NCAA collegiate baseball player.
Beau was selected as one of the 2018 U.S. Eisenhower Fellows and served his fellowship in Japan and Myanmar focused on developing strategies for tech platforms that serve the needs of migrant workers across the world.
During his life, Beau has spent significant time living in the UAE, Japan, Hungary, China, Singapore, India, Indonesia, and the US. He is obsessed with the study of geopolitics and human history, and loves to read and listen to jazz in his free time.
Most importantly, Beau met his wife Sonia Weymuller (KF 24) through Kauffman Fellows program and they are the parents of their 8-month-old son Rainier Bernard.
During his career, Beau has worked in multiple roles in Asia, the US, and the UAE to launch innovative VC funds and financing strategies.
He is currently launching a new finance company to unlock the next wave of AI-driven business transformation and adoption by structuring and financing performance based contracts between systems integrator partners and their enterprise clients.
Previously, he co-founded Patamar Capital (previously known as Unitus Impact) in 2010, an early-stage VC fund focused on investing in scalable companies and platforms that significantly improve the lives of low-income people and generate strong financial returns. He also led Patamar Capital's efforts to establish one of Southeast Asia's first VC funds with a gender-lens investment strategy.
Beau is an impact investing advisor to multiple organizations in the US and Asia, and also sits on various corporate boards, including SwipeRx (Indonesia's largest pharmacy network) and Lhoopa (SE Asia's dominant affordable housing platform).
As a member of Class 22, Beau served his fellowship at Patamar Capital.
