Carina has spent over a decade building and investing at the frontier of AI.

She founded HelixNano in 2013, pioneering the use of AI and lab automation to design new therapies. Backed by Sam Altman and Jeff Dean, they took one of the first AI-designed medicines into the clinic. The team now works in partnership with OpenAI on managing biorisks.

Carina is a General Partner at Plural, the new $800m early-stage fund, backing the most ambitious founders, on a mission to scale globally consequential companies from Europe.

Her investments span AI infrastructure and applications, robotics, next-gen compute, and energy - including Sunrise Robotics, Softmax, Phasecraft, and Molyon.

Carina also serves as a Trustee of The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for AI.
