Chang Xu

Chang holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and AB in Applied Math and a secondary field in Computer Science from Harvard College.

I invest in and build AI agents at Basis Set. I studied Applied Math and Computer Science at Harvard, and took classes in ML before it was popular. I like to stay abreast of the research and learn the latest technologies and products. I like n of 1 companies where you're uniquely obsessed with a problem or a solution where it seems like no one else is paying attention -- I love learning about and following your obsession.

Prior to this, I was the first Product Manager at the Minerva Project, a venture-backed, tech-enabled university of the 21st century. I also co-founded and was the COO of an ed-tech startup which reaches 130M users and has raised $90+ million to-date and. Previously, I was a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group, where I advised clients across technology, retail, healthcare and private equity. I have also spent time at Microsoft and Jane Street Capital.

Chang is a member of Class 23, serving her fellowship at Upfront Ventures and now Basis Set Ventures under the mentorship of Bilal Zuberi.
