Christine Giam
Christine studied in Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore and is an alumna of the NUS Overseas College Program at (Stanford University). She enjoys reading non-friction, music, hiking and painting with her 2 active sons.
Christine is a Partner at EDBI, focusing on early-stage and fund-of-funds investments. She played a pivotal role in creating and growing the New Ventures division at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) - a business unit that venture builds and invests in promising business ideas and early-stage companies and do so, in partnership with funds, MNCs and experienced founders. As a hands-on investor, Christine enjoys collaborating with founders to shape their product development, go-to-market, and fundraising strategies.
With over a decade of multi-industry experience, Christine previously worked at GIC Private Equity and Advanced MedTech, a leading medical technology company in Southeast Asia, where she gained experience in investment, corporate strategy, and operations. She also held business development, marketing, and sales roles at EDB’s Singapore and London offices, focusing on the healthcare sector.
