
Denise Miller
Denise has an MBA and an MS in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan and lives in California with her husband. She is an endurance sports enthusiast and has completed four full Ironman triathlons and eight half distance races. A lover of the outdoors, she now focuses on gravel biking and aspires to spend more of her time in her home state of Montana on the family ranch.
Denise Miller is a Partner at WovenEarth Ventures. She oversees investment and operational diligence, analytics and investor reporting, and the firm’s business operations. As a member of the WovenEarth Investment Committee, she provides input and guidance on portfolio construction process and investment strategy.
Denise has a deep background in strategy and systems that ranges from work in India for the Clinton Foundation to serving as a strategy consultant for leading US utilities and oil and gas companies with a focus on impact and decarbonization. In her role prior to WovenEarth Ventures, she managed acquisition and divestiture activities, drove alignment on the long-term business strategy with the board, and directed the annual business planning process for Aera Energy, the second largest oil and gas producer in California and a joint Venture between Shell and ExxonMobil. Within this role, she led the efforts to chart the path to reduce the carbon intensity of brownfield oil and gas assets.
