Hisham Halbouny is Co-Founder and General Partner of P1 Ventures, an early-stage Africa focused venture capital fund. P1 Ventures has invested in companies such as Yassir in Algeria, MoneyFellows in Egypt and Reliance Heath in Nigeria. Hisham is passionate about partnering and supporting entrepreneurs to empower emerging markets transformation through innovation and technology. Prior to that Hisham was a Partner at Man Capital that invested in the likes of Uber, AirBnB, Petal and Fairmarkit. Hisham led the firm’s global private markets platform. During his time at Man Capital, he also launched several businesses, including, Freight Mango in the US, Echolabs in Nigeria, Almasi Financial in East Africa, and AMEL in Egypt. Before joining Man Capital, Hisham was Managing Director at EFG Hermes, the MEA region’s leading investment bank. He co-led the GCC investment banking division, expanded the firm into various countries in the Middle East and Africa and advised on over USD $10 BN worth of M&A, equity and debt transactions. Hisham is an advisor and board member to several high growth companies.
