Itxaso del Palacio

Itxaso holds a BSc and MSc in Engineering as well as a PhD focused on Economics and Venture Capital. Itxaso has also taught entrepreneurship in many institutions including Imperial College and University College London (UCL).

Itxaso del Palacio is a General Partner at Notion, a leading European B2B SaaS focused VC which has invested in companies such as GoCardless, CurrencyCloud, TradeShift and Unbabel among others. Prior to that, Itxaso was the Investment Partner for M12 (formerly Microsoft Ventures) in Europe. Some of the most recent investments led by Itxaso include Yulife (new life insurance provider), Cledara (SaaS management solution), Onfido (identity verification platform), Unbabel (Machine Translation solution) and Beamery (CRM of recruitment). Itxaso likes to invest in product-led businesses and in founders who are obsessed with building the best products in a given or new category.

As a member of Class 18, Itxaso served the first part of her fellowship at EC1 Capital under Partner Julian Carter, and completed her fellowship at Lepe Partners under founder Jonnie Goodwin, who also co-founded Founders Forum with Brent Hoberman. Itxaso is very active within the Kauffman community in Europe and she has hosted European fellows in the Basque Country (North of Spain) a couple of times.
