Jake Ellowitz

Jake holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago, where he studied theoretical and computational fluid dynamics, often with the aid of large-scale computer simulations. He received his BA from Clark University in Physics and Mathematics.

Jake a Co-Founding Partner at Tribe Capital and Co-Founder and CTO of Termina. He was instrumental in Tribe's investments in Kraken, Docker, Shiprocket, Alpaca, Khatabook, and Hone, among others. Jake designed and built Tribe's investment system used to quantitatively evaluate startup engagement, which was incubated into the sister company Termina to expand these data capabilities among Tribe's portfolio and broader strategic partners. Before Tribe, Jake was an Investment Engineer at Bridgewater Associates, predominantly focused on Fixed Income. Jake holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Chicago.

As a member of Class 25, Jake is serving his fellowship at Tribe Capital under the mentorship of Avichal Garg.
