Jan Adams

Jan holds an MBA from ESSEC (Paris) and Mannheim (Germany) University and completed a PhD in genetics at the University of Cambridge, UK. Jan also holds an MSc in biochemistry & molecular biology from Tuebingen University, Germany

With a career spanning venture investing, company building, strategy consulting and basic research in the life sciences, Jan's focus is on Company Creation and seeding great companies out of academic settings. Jan is an Advisor to Apollo Health Ventures, and previously headed commercial activity at the Merck KGaA Innovation Center in Darmstadt. Before that he was a Managing Director with EMBL Ventures, a Seed and Early-stage VC.

A member of Class 11, Jan was mentored by Stefan Herr at EMBL Ventures in Heidelberg, Germany.
