Jaypal holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Binghamton.

Jaypal is a Partner at Tribe Capital, a venture capital firm focused on leveraging deep industry, investment, and operating expertise to back high-growth technology companies. He focuses on enterprise software, AI, fintech, and frontier tech, drawing on more than two decades of experience building and scaling go-to-market organizations from early-stage startups to some of the largest platforms in cloud infrastructure.

Before venture, Jaypal held senior strategy, product, and business development roles at Google, which he joined following the acquisition of a company he helped lead. Earlier, he held leadership positions at MongoDB and VMware during formative periods of growth at both companies, and served as SVP of Business Development at Nobl9, an enterprise observability startup. Across these chapters, the throughline has been a focus on how technology companies grow through sales, partnerships, ecosystem strategy, and product-market alignment — a focus that now shapes how he evaluates and supports founders.
