Laura Metzler

Laura was born in Singapore, raised in a small town in Austria, and is currently based in Frankfurt, Germany. She holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Sciences Po Paris, including a stint at Northwestern University in Chicago, and is fluent in German, English, and French. She is a lover of mountains, lakes, and kind people.

Laura is an Associate at KfW Capital, the venture capital arm of KfW Group, Germany’s state-owned development bank, and a cornerstone investor backing European venture and growth funds. As part of the investment management team, she focuses on fund investments across the venture and growth spectrum, with a particular specialization in VC secondaries.

Prior to joining KfW Capital in 2025, Laura was an investment professional at Ardian, a leading global private investment house, within the Primaries and Secondaries team. During her tenure there, she gained extensive experience executing complex secondaries transactions and managing portfolios within the Private Equity and infrastructure space. Her expertise lies at the intersection of established private markets and the evolving venture capital secondaries landscape.
