Lauri Kokkila

Lauri holds a Master’s degree in Information Networks from Aalto University in Helsinki, a multidisciplinary program combining technology, business, and design. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through tennis and kitesurfing.

Lauri Kokkila is a Partner at Inventure, the Nordic and Baltic seed and pre-seed specialist. Lauri focuses on early-stage opportunities in deep tech, quantum technologies, and marketplace platforms. He has served on the boards of several high-growth companies, including Swappie (raised €108M Series C), Umbra (acquired by Amazon), Nordigen (acquired by GoCardless), and Material Exchange (raised €25M Series A).

Lauri joined the firm as an intern in 2015 and has since risen through the ranks to become one of the youngest partners in European venture capital. Along his journey, he deepened his operational expertise through a one-year secondment at Material Exchange, where he served as VP of Strategy.
