Lina earned her degree in Economic Theory from American University in Washington, D.C. and holds executive education certifications in Financial Management (Insper) and ESG Investing (CFA Institute). Born in Switzerland and based in São Paulo, she is fluent in Portuguese, English, and French, and thrives in globally collaborative environments.

Lina Lisbona is a Partner at Astella Investimentos, one of Brazil’s leading early-stage venture capital firms. With more than 15 years of experience across venture capital, private equity, and impact investing, Lina brings a global perspective to building long-term investment platforms in emerging markets. At Astella, she plays a central role in firm strategy, ecosystem positioning, and stakeholder engagement across capital and portfolio dimensions. She leads the firm’s fundraising efforts and investment theses in sectors such as agriculture and climate resilience.

Her career has spanned global financial institutions, sustainable investing platforms, and entrepreneurial fund formation. Prior to Astella, Lina was a Partner at Barn Investimentos and held senior roles at Earth Capital and Merrill Lynch, with a strong focus on integrating ESG principles and institutional rigor into firm-building efforts. Her work bridges financial returns with long-term impact — from shaping investment frameworks to supporting purpose-driven companies and LPs.
