Liz Keehner

Liz Keehner is a Partner at Next Level Ventures, an Iowa‑based venture capital firm investing in early‑stage technology companies across finance, healthcare, industrial innovation, biosciences, and agriculture. At Next Level Ventures, Liz leads the firm’s investment strategy in Iowa, works closely with founders, and partners with limited partners to build long-term value.

In addition to her investment role, Liz serves as President of the Iowa Venture Capital Association, where she advocates for expanding access to capital for entrepreneurs and for policies that strengthen the state’s innovation economy. She has played a leading role in legislative efforts to mobilize institutional capital toward venture‑backed companies and align public policy with long‑term economic growth.

Liz is recognized as Iowa’s first female fund manager and is deeply committed to building inclusive innovation ecosystems. She is an active convener, mentor, and community builder, with a particular focus on advancing women in technology and venture leadership. Liz holds a BA in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa.
