
Marcin Nowak
Marcin is the graduate of Warsaw School of Economics, where he obtained Masters degree in Finance and Banking. During his Masters at Warsaw School of Economics, he participated in dual degree program in cooperation with Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany. He also earned the CFA, Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Outside of work, he loves travelling, with 100+ countries visited, diving and motorcycle rides. He enjoys spending time actively on his road bike and mountain hiking. He has also the 3rd Dan in Aikido.
Marcin is the Investment Director at EIC Fund, the largest European deep tech VC fund, currently with EUR 4bn AuM and close to 300 portfolio companies. As one of the first team members he was deeply engaged in setting up the fund and its operations. He is responsible for managing an extensive portfolio of deep tech direct equity investments in Europe and Israel.
Marcin is one of the co-founders of PFR Ventures, the largest fund of funds in Central and Eastern Europe, currently with EUR 1.4bn AuM, 80 portfolio funds and close to 1000 indirect portfolio companies. He was responsible for structuring of the fund’s operations and he was Head of the fund of funds co-investing with Business Angels. Before setting up PFR Ventures, he was the Investment Director at PFR, responsible for Private Equity investments.
Previously at UniCredit Group he was leading the largest Private Equity sponsored leveraged buyouts in Central and Eastern Europe and within numerous roles he earned extensive Investment Banking experience on the advisory and financing side.
