Marianna Bonechi is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Dnipro VC, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund investing in early-stage AI and cybersecurity companies with Ukrainian ties. She brings a global perspective and deep cross-sector experience to early-stage investing, shaped by a decade in corporate development and investment banking M&A covering TMT sector.
Before launching Dnipro VC, Marianna founded Slava Ventures, where she began backing mission-driven founders in frontier technology. Her path into venture was preceded by her role at Open Austria, the Republic of Austria’s diplomatic mission in San Francisco, where she led the global AI initiative in 2018. There, she built bridges between tech executives, AI researchers, diplomats, and early-stage AI-native founders—gaining early conviction in the transformative power of generative AI. This work laid the foundation for her angel investments in GenAI startups, many of which she helped scale from inception.
