Michael Fanfant

Michael graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Economics and is originally from Seattle, WA. Outside of work, he also serves as the Events & Community Chair at BLCK VC, where he leads a team that creates in-person and online programming to further increase the diversity of venture investors.

Michael is a General Partner at Runa Capital, a $135M early stage VC firm that invests in B2B SaaS, deep tech, and fintech in the US and Europe. He primarily focuses on fintech, and B2B SaaS startups in the US. Prior to joining Runa, Michael was co-founded Octane Lending, a $1B+ point-of-sale financing company for passion purchases, where he was responsible for the overall GTM strategy and customer acquisition. He continues to serve on Octane Lending’s Board of Directors.
