
Mona Minhas
Mona Minhas is the Managing Partner of Thrive Venture Fund and the Women in Tech Venture Fund at BDC Capital—two of the world’s largest venture capital funds dedicated to investing in women-led technology companies in Canada, from late seed through scale. Prior to her current role, Mona was an operator in the startup ecosystem, supporting high-growth companies in raising capital, product launches, and business scaling. Notably, she served as CFO and COO of Knix, which in 2022 successfully exited to a Swedish public company, marking it one of the largest exits by a female founder in Canada.
Mona is also a former Managing Partner of Women’s Equity Lab, where she helped found and launch its first two angel investment funds in Toronto. Earlier in her career, she spent several years working across public and private markets with large strategic organizations, including roles in corporate development and M&A. Deeply engaged in the tech ecosystem, Mona serves on multiple boards and industry associations. She is a trusted thought partner, leader, and passionate advocate for entrepreneurs building the next generation of global technology companies solving real-world problems.
