Patricio Aznar Leon de la Barra

Patricio is a graduate of Unioversity Iberoamericana, where he graduated with a major in international business with a specialty in finance. He has attended executive education at Haas Business School.

Patricio is Managing Partner of Nazca and oversees the fund’s operations and investments. He started his career in equity research a decade ago and, ever since, has been in the Latin American VC industry, starting as an analyst in one of the first startup incubators in Mexico back in 2014. Since then, he has co-founded a company-builder focused on HealthTech & EdTech startups. For more than 3 years, he worked for IDB Lab, investing in VC funds and startups all over the region, while working on developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Latam. After the IDB, Patricio co- founder Bridge Latam, and early stage fund based in México, with some of the best founders in the region, and in 2025 they formalized a merger with Mexico based fund Nazca.
