Pedro Vieira

Pedro is a scientist, turned founder, turned investor, with deep experience in the tech sector. Pedro has experience on both sides of the table as operator and as an investor, across the different stages of a venture - from idea to growth.

Pedro has been investing since 2016 as an angel and as a VC, including Founder and Managing Partner at Shilling Capital Partners (now IC Member only), a €50m+ early-stage tech fund focused on pre-seed & seed stage Portugal-related companies.

Prior to this role, Pedro supported Corporate Innovation and Partnerships initiatives and mentored portfolio company founders for 500 Global in Europe and Africa, and served as Program Director in 500 Global's programs across EMEA.

His first venture (GoodGuide.com, backed by NEA and DFJ, acquired by Underwriters Laboratories1 in 2012), created tools to help companies sell, and consumers buy, safer and healthier products.  Later, Pedro launched WestToWest.org as a tech entrepreneurial bridge between Western EU and US.

Pedro holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from U.C. Berkeley.
