Rob Freelen

Rob was born and raised on the Stanford University Campus, spent a decade in Los Angeles and recently moved back to the SF area. On the weekends Rob and his family can be found on the trails in Mill Valley, CA.

Rob Freelen is a Managing Director and general partner at Sozo Ventures, co-founder of an LA-based FinTech company, and a former SVB executive. Since joining Sozo Rob has championed investments in companies transforming skin care, manufacturing, farming, early stage cancer Dx, cybersecurity, and batteries: Haus Labs & OuterBio, Atomic Machines, Carbon Robotics, Mercy Bio, Doppel, and Stacked Energy. Prior to Sozo Rob was an executive at Silicon Valley Bank where he ran multiple business units including Venture Capital Relationship Management, the Los Angeles region (‘15-’20), and the west coast healthcare team.
