Professional

Rosie is a founding Partner at Synthesis Capital, a specialized, London-based venture capital firm focusing on global food technology and synthetic biology to transform the food system. With over $300M in assets under management, Synthesis invests at Series A and B.

With a lifelong interest in food systems and sustainability, Rosie has been focused on the investment implications of food sector transformation for the past 15 years, working with early-stage companies working to redefine the future of food since the sector began.

Her path to Synthesis began through her work with leading institutional investors, helping them understand and respond to the rapidly evolving dynamics of the global food system. Early in her career, she helped launch FAIRR, an investor network supported today by more than $90 trillion in combined institutional assets. Through this work, she partnered closely with major investors and global food corporates across the value chain, shaping ESG strategies and highlighting systemic risks, from supply-chain resilience to climate and biodiversity impacts. This experience offered a unique vantage point on both the limitations faced by incumbents and the scale of opportunity for innovative, sustainable solutions.

Motivated by this insight, Rosie transitioned from advising institutions to backing the technologies reshaping the future of food. At CPT Capital, she played a key role in building and managing one of the earliest and most influential portfolios in alternative protein and food-tech innovation.

Rosie continues to play an active role in the broader ecosystem, advising several high-profile NGO and governmental initiatives, including the Tilt Collective and the Climate Bonds Initiative.
