Sonia Weymuller

Sonia was born in Paris and grew up in Indonesia, Japan, the US, and France. She holds a BA from Yale University, an MSc from the London School of Economics and is a Kauffman Fellow.

Sonia is Co-Founder and General Partner at VentureSouq, leading their climate investment practice. Previously, she was an Investment Consultant for Acumen’s KawiSafi Fund, worked in Commercial Development at Turner Broadcasting in Dubai, with Viacom’s Emerging Markets Strategy Group and with Microsoft’s Strategy and M&A team in London. Sonia is a Board member of the Sharjah Entrepreneur Center (Sheraa) and a Jury member and capital mentor for the Cartier Women’s Initiative. She also serves as the UAE Director for the Yale Alumni Schools Committee and as a selected member of the Yale President’s Council on International Activities.

Sonia is a member of Class 24 serving her fellowship at VentureSouq under the mentorship of Pule Taukobong (Class 19), Managing Partner at CRE Venture Capital, and Vani Kola, Managing Director of Kalaari Capital.
