JinA is the Head of Corporate Venture at Hanwha, where she focuses on developing the group’s strategic investment roadmap, launching new funds and forming investment consortiums with strategic partners, capturing value on investment opportunities, and creating connectivity among the various players in the innovation ecosystem. Hanwha Group is one of the largest conglomerates in Korea and a Global Fortune 250 Company with 60 subsidiaries across 3 main pillars of businesses: Manufacturing - Construction, Finance (AUM $140B), and Service - Leisure.
JinA began her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in San Francisco and London where she specialized in developing growth and marketing strategy for global tech and consumer goods companies. Prior to joining Hanwha, she was a founder & CEO of CHOPCHOP, a London-based food tech startup.
Education, Personal, and Fellowship
As an undergraduate, JinA attended Yale where she received a Bachelor of Arts in ethics, politics, and economics and graduated magna cum laude, with Distinction.
JinA is passionate about the Korean reunification and is involved in various grassroots movements to support the North Korean defector community in South Korea. She is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.
A member of Class 23, JinA is serving her fellowship at Hanwha Asset Management under the mentorship of Managing Director, William Hahn.
