BMW i Ventures
Zach has experience in venture, growth equity, and private equity. He currently serves as a Partner at BMW i Ventures and invests in companies that are reimagining transportation, manufacturing, and mobility.
He started investing in 2010 as a Senior Associate at Altamont Capital Partners, a middle market private equity firm focused on active investing in operationally intense situations. He then joined the Green Growth Fund at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, where he helped make late-stage and growth investments in technology companies that were transforming large, traditional industries.
Zach started his career as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group, focused on consumer and retail clients in the US and Australia. He has also worked in strategy at the Wildlife Conservation Society, a leading international conservation organization.
Education, Personal, and Fellowship
Zach earned a BA degree in political science and a BS degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School, and he holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
Zach is on the Board of Directors of Watermark, a nonprofit membership and development organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in leadership positions.
A member of Class 23, Zach is serving his fellowship at BMW i Ventures.
