Jonathan's career initially provided him with a broad exposure to financial services, after which he settled into a career in growth and venture capital, first in the US and then in Israel. He is currently a General Partner for the Corner Ventures Israel fund, an early growth stage fund focused on helping Israeli companies scale and globalize. Previously, he led Israeli and European investments for GE Ventures, the CVC arm of General Electric where he spent 15 years playing a key role in building and leading the $1B investment firm focused across the nexus of the industrial and digital markets. Jonathan relocated from New York to Israel in 2011 where he has built a strong network within the investment and entrepreneurial. Prior to entering venture capital, he held roles in aircraft leasing and financing, debt capital markets, financial planning, and investment banking.
Education, Personal, and Fellowship
Jonathan attended New York University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics and business, graduating with High Honors and Phi Beta Kappa. He completed GE's Financial Management Program, combining rigorous financial and management coursework over 2 years in combination with professional rotations across GE Capital. He had the opportunity to participate in numerous GE internal executive development courses. He is a Kauffman Fellow, which is a unique educational, networking, and leadership development program for venture capitalists. He currently lives in Israel with his wife and children.
Jonathan served most of his fellowship while at GE Ventures under the mentorship of the firm's then President, Marianne Wu. He then transitioned to a new role as a General Partner at Corner Ventures. He is a member of Class 23.
