Varun Malhotra, Partner at Quona Capital, has over a decade of venture investing experience across technology, financial services and impact. Quona is an early stage VC focused on fintech for inclusion across emerging markets with over US$ 750MM in AUM. Quona’s portfolio comprises 60+ fintechs creating impact across 14+ countries, including Creditas, Yoco, Khazna, Ula, Coins.ph (M&A: GoTo) and IndiaMart (NSE: INDIAMART). Varun focuses on Quona’s investment activities and portfolio in South and SE Asia, and has led investments in Rupifi, Mewt, Arya.ag & Shivalik Bank. Varun is a Kauffman Fellow and is a Forbes 30 under 30 honouree for Venture Capital in Asia.

Education, Personal, and Fellowship

Varun has an MBA from the Indian School of Business and an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Delhi.

As a member of Class 25, Varun is serving his fellowship at Quona Capital under the mentorship of Dr Ashish Gupta (Class 7), Jonathan Whittle and Sham Sandhu.
