Iron Prairie Ventures
Maggie is the Founder and General Partner at Iron Prairie Ventures. Iron Prairie is a pre-seed and seed fund focused on industrial tech and innovations and propelling construction, manufacturing, infrastructure and supply chain.
Prior to launching Iron Prairie, Maggie was a venture partner at Royal Street Ventures and the Managing Director University Venture Fund - Crossroads (UVFC), an undergraduate and graduate focused experiential learning program teaching entrepreneurship through the lens of private finance. Maggie brings years of experience in building entrepreneurial ecosystems and an affinity for underrepresented markets and founders. Prior to joining Royal Street, Maggie built and led, the Fountain Innovation Fund, an evergreen pre-seed fund focused on the Kansas City region and directed fund operations for Portfolia, an investment community focused on engaging female investors. At Portfolia, Maggie closed funds I, IV and V, oversaw the investor experience, fund formation, fundraising, deal flow, diligence and managed relationships with Portfolia invested companies.
She brings years of experience in operations, strategic partnerships, and program management. Maggie was at the Kauffman Foundation for a decade where she worked on the Kauffman Fellows Program and later led the Foundation's strategy for Women's Entrepreneurship. After exiting the Foundation, Maggie worked in healthcare technology, including venture-backed RelayHealth.

Education, Personal, and Fellowship
Maggie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and an MBA from the University of Missouri. She lives in Leawood, Kansas with her husband and her three children.
As a member of Class 25, Maggie is serving her fellowship at Royal Street Ventures under the mentorship of Kevin Lockett and Stephanie Spong.
