HG Ventures

Ginger Rothrock is a Senior Director at HG Ventures, investing in early to growth stage companies developing advanced materials and systems for sustainability, energy, specialty chemicals, and transportation infrastructure. In addition to her investing role at HG Ventures, the corporate venture arm of The Heritage Group, she is the business lead of the Heritage Group Hardtech Accelerator and seeks to connect the entrepreneurs we serve with the resources in Heritage operating companies to provide meaningful value.

In that role she oversaw the commercialization of a $1B portfolio of R&D and served as a mentor and coach to numerous scientific innovators. She is also a serial entrepreneur, incubating and founding companies including Liquidia Technologies that had its IPO in August 2018.

Ginger holds a PhD in Polymer and Analytical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her undergraduate work at Furman University, where she was a Truman Scholar, Goldwater Scholar and member of the Track and Field team. She is intensely passionate about mentoring female and scientific entrepreneurs through Techstars, STEM organizations, universities and more. On weekends she and her husband can most often be found outside with their two daughters and rescue dog.
