Kirsten joined Kauffman Fellows in September 2011 and plays a key role in driving cross functional initiatives including organizational strategy, business development, Human Resources and culture, marketing and communications, and operations. She works as a partner to the CEO, executive team, and board of directors.
To this role Kirsten brings a depth of experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to her current role, she worked as the Director of Learning Design for Kauffman Fellows. In previous careers, she gained eleven years of experience as part of an executive coaching and management consulting firm supporting start-ups and venture capital firms. Additionally she worked closely with the Superintendent and Board of Trustees for a large public high school district in the Bay Area.
Raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kirsten graduated cum laude with a BS in industrial/organizational psychology from California State University, East Bay.
Kirsten now lives in beautiful Bainbridge Island, WA with her husband and daughter. She has a passion for traveling both locally and internationally, loves fitness (especially weight lifting), and enjoys finding new places to enjoy a great meal.
